| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 15, 2007 75cl corked bottle. Muddy chesnut tulip soupy with sediment, however you pour it. Wonderfully soft, soapy caramel snout. Deep, firm, creamy off-white head you could float a Euro on. Delectably smooth and delicately spicy, with a full-bodied, sharpish yeastiness and licorice-bitter finish. Metallically yeasty a little like Ename. Slick and milkshake-creamy. As subtle and sweetly malty as a top-drawer Doppelbock (Andescher?). Drinks as smoothly as a beer half its strength. Not a hint of alcohol or burn. Exquisitely crafted, effortlessly drinkable, dizzying Belgian nectar. bask (305), Leuven, Belgium
