Clear ornge, very sizey white head. faint aroma, perhaps a little nutty, which iechoed in the flavor. The Bride took a sip and pronounced it "very Belgian", which is pretty much true. Hides its alcohol very well.

Bottle. Poured hazy dark brown with a large fizzy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Solid bittersweet flavor with a medium balanced finish of long duration. This is a smooth complex beer

Faint, malty and green aroma. Dark caramel sweetness becomes nicely malty, slightly dry bitterness. Malts persevere throughout hoppy finish. Alcohol a touch obvious, but not burning.

75cl corked bottle. Muddy chesnut tulip soupy with sediment, however you pour it. Wonderfully soft, soapy caramel snout. Deep, firm, creamy off-white head you could float a Euro on. Delectably smooth and delicately spicy, with a full-bodied, sharpish yeastiness and licorice-bitter finish. Metallically yeasty a little like Ename. Slick and milkshake-creamy. As subtle and sweetly malty as a top-drawer Doppelbock (Andescher?). Drinks as smoothly as a beer half its strength. Not a hint of alcohol or burn. Exquisitely crafted, effortlessly drinkable, dizzying Belgian nectar.

Roasted malty aroma, nuts, caramel, chocolat, raisin and other fruits. Muddy brown colour, small disappearing head. Sweat malty flavour, light hopts, raisin, malty coffee finish.

[Bottle from BeersofEurope] Tasted this ages ago, don’t know why I havent added the rating. Aroma of Chocolate, marzipan, rum, raisin, slome roasty notes. Full, chewy palate, sweet upfront, great yeast character, dry finish.
