Drank on 7/2/06 bottled and drank at The Brugge Bear in Brugge, Belgium. This is a high quality beer but there was something about it that didn’t agree with me. As I was on this trip my brother he liked it and thought it was similar to Celebrator, I’d say its likely a fine beer for most, but I couldn’t drink it. TChrome (1299), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2006 Very cloudy medium mahogeny color with a totally retained, creamy off white colored head. Aroma is nicely malty with notes of chocolate and nuts as well as a nice yeast aroma and a whiff of alcohol. Flavor is quite unexpectantly fruity with a bit of chocolate, also some roasted nuts. The finish is a bit of a mess with lots of spiciness. I would like to try a fresher/better cared for example as a bunch of the beers that I bought from a particular Sherman Oaks retailer showed sign of improper storage. Nagash (202), Paris, France
