| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 21, 2006 Poured a reddish copper with a thin off white head and poor lacing. Aromas are faint but include grassy hops, raisins, cherries, and brown sugar. Flavors are also subtle and mimic the aromas with the exception of even more subtle fruit flavors. A slight roasted flavor is also present. A considerable hop bitterness leaves a slightly astringent finish. Also bit watery. For a belgian of this gravity I was expecting a lot more PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Dark orange pour, slightly cloudy with a soft, pillowy white head. Aroma has hints of molasses, raisins and chocolate. Same elements found in the flavor with some brown sugar roundng it out nicely and a hint of alcohol. Good late night nightcap. Thickish mouthfeel, just the right amount of carbonation. oh6gdx (9104), Vasa, Finland
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 23, 2006 Bottled. Amber colour with big beige creamy head. Aroma of raisins, malts and bananas. Flavour is metallic (strong metallic) with caramellish malty hints. Otherwise good, but the metallicness is ruining it. Aftertaste has some spices in it along with the caramellishness. Pleasant malty/hoppy aroma with spicy, herbal and fruity notes. Robust taste that carries sharp plummy and vineous hints. Ends with a long and warming bittersweet finish. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 4, 2006 Bottle... Hazy, ruby ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. The nose is musty and sweet with notes of caramel, sweat and honey. Sticky-sweet flavor with tons of caramel and dark raisins. Full-bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes sweet and then, out of nowhere, lightly bitter. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2006 Beautiful brown body with a medium white head. Sour apple, malt, hops and other fruits dominate the aroma. Mollasses and malts are evident in the taste. There is a somewhat metallic tang in the ending... not sure if that was just my bottle or inherent in the beer.
