Nose of dried fruits and some chocolate. Hazy brown to reddish body, medium head. Malty and fruity flavor, with notes of candy.

Bottle. Sourish, chalky aroma - and malt extracty. Red/brown colour. Small head. Flavour is nice - malty and creamy. Hint of dried fruit balanced nicely by a good bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little prickly, but nice after a bit of a swirl. Very nice beer. 6 3 8 4 18

Bottle at ZBF08. Spicy aroma. Muddy brown colour. Small creamy tan head. Good roasted flavour, some dark malt and brown sugar. Quite spicy too. Slight alcohol aftertaste. 7 3 7 3 18

Bottled: Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Fluffy light brown lasting head. Fruits (bruns and raisin) and alcohol in the aroma. Portlike, rasiny and light alcoholdense flavour. Some chocolate and spice notes. Is sweet and malty in the end.

Hazy deep amber in colour with a strong ruby tint & super dense tan head-very nice looking! Aroma of malt, sweet fruit, caster sugar, grapes and some yeast. Medium-bodied; Full malty flavour gives way to very bitter alcohol and spices. Aftertaste shows that unfortunate bitterness & metallic twang. Overall, looks very nice and even smells good-but the taste just isn’t there! Good to try regardless. I sampled this 33 cL bottle pulled from the four sampler pack purchased at Village Pump Liquors in College Park, Maryland on 02-February-2005.

(Bottle 33 cl) Light brown beer with a huge, beige head. Pronounced chocolate-notes and a lot of over-ripe fruit in the flavour. Almost portwineish. The hops don’t dominate but are sufficient to even out the sweetness. Very refined and excellent indeed. 061097

33cl Bottle. Dark brown beer with thinning beige head. Chocolate malt and some fruit on nose, ok in mouth with a sweetish choc finish balanced by dry hop as the finish goes on. Plenty of flavour.

Nice mahagony color, medium off white frothy head, leaving laces. Sweet dough, cookie nose also a nice rum aroma and vanilla tone which repeats in the taste. Celery and molasses are also in the taste followed by a harsh and unlikely bitterness.
