Bottle @ Carlsens Kvarter, Odense.
Pours a slightly murky raisin-brown with an impressive-looking creamy, yellowish beige head that stays throughout the drink. Aroma has overripe apples, raisins, plums and quite a strong liquorice note. Fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour complements the aroma well, lots of dried fruits and liquorice. Extremely drinkable for its 9,0 % ABV.

BBE 04/08, 75cl at Old Bank. Muddy dark brown, huge fluffy beige head. Rotten apples, sweet candi sugar, herbs and little liquorice on the nose. Strongly rye bready flavor, creamy maltiness, little metal and old apples, mild liquorice herbs. Medium to full bodied, smooth silky palate. A nice strong ale with balanced rye bready maltiness and herbs.

Bottle. Pours a mahogany brown amber body with a busty 2 finger yellow off white head. Aromatic accents of dark fruity esters, plum, raisins, light molasses and sticky brown sugar. Very full bodied with a luscious mouth feel. Lightly spiced with a slight metallic note in the finish. Toffee and alcohol latent fruit to finish.

Sticky and with dark Belgium chocolate, toffee, caramel, and bitterness. Very enjoyable. Medium body and i liked much better than the Pater.

Notice the alcohol in this one but still enjoy drinking it. Red body with short lasting, light tan head. Dark fruit on the aroma and in the taste, just some spice and hints of caramel.

Pours murky dark red/rust brown with one finger of soft-looking tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, brown sugar, red wine and raisin – nice. Mouthfeel smooth and almost buttery soft. Flavor pretty much matches aroma – red wine and brown sugar, a bit of dark chocolate, raisin and dark fruit. A bit smoky. Nice alcohol warmth and ABV is well-hidden in flavor. I like. 330 ml bottle, best before 3/09, part of a Kapittel gift pack, from Bootleggers.

On draught at the brewery tap. Dark brown with large light brown head that lingers. Aroma of chocolate chip cookie dough. Full mouth, big malt taste with overtones of caramel and toffee. Bitter finish. Big brew, very nice, and the bottled version should improve nicely with age.
