HughConway (367), Washington, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Deep mahogany-cider appearance with rich, thick creamy creme brulee top. Light milk chocolate notes waft from the class. Later, a subtle yeastiness and caramel, chocolate banana develops. Flavor of candi-malt with a hint of chocolate and yeastiness. Alcohol is superbly masked. Enjoyable, but there is an oxidized cardboard underpinning in aroma and flavor that detracts. Keeper (164), Milano, Italy
