The aroma is fruity with notes of prunes. The color is amber and a fine though disappering head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruit and caramel. A love this beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) Light brown beer with a huge, beige head. Pronounced chocolate-notes and a lot of over-ripe fruit in the flavour. Almost portwineish. The hops don’t dominate but are sufficient to even out the sweetness. Very refined and excellent indeed. 061097

ZBF2008: From bottle. Pours hazy brown with tiny yeast sediments floating around. Lacing tan head. Mild roasted malt aroma, light caramel note. Yeasty metallic flavour. Solid caramel flavour with a light spice note. Lingering caramel finish.

Bottled. Dark roast brown, lightly cloudy. Caramel aroma. Dry with notes of almond and dark bitter Belgian chocolate. Malty and lightly fruity, but the image of a perfect beer is broken a slightly sharp mouthfeel. A dry, smooth caramel finish with pleasant hop bitter finish still makes it if not perfect, so at least great.

Bottle. Sourish, chalky aroma - and malt extracty. Red/brown colour. Small head. Flavour is nice - malty and creamy. Hint of dried fruit balanced nicely by a good bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little prickly, but nice after a bit of a swirl. Very nice beer. 6 3 8 4 18

Bottle at ZBF08. Spicy aroma. Muddy brown colour. Small creamy tan head. Good roasted flavour, some dark malt and brown sugar. Quite spicy too. Slight alcohol aftertaste. 7 3 7 3 18

Bottled. Amber colour with big beige creamy head. Aroma of raisins, malts and bananas. Flavour is metallic (strong metallic) with caramellish malty hints. Otherwise good, but the metallicness is ruining it. Aftertaste has some spices in it along with the caramellishness.
