j_b (738), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 7, 2008 Nice looking bottle and label. Malty, sour, nose. Unfiltered, minimal rocky head. Palate is butterscotch and toffee, decent body weight. A decent sipping brew, thanks Ron, for the trade.
Ron (738), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 8, 2008 Yellow, fluffy white head. Grassy malty aroma. Flavor is malty up front, with the hops coming in late with flavor and bitterness. Smooth with a decent body. bhensonb (2880), Woodland, California, USA Apr 5, 2008 Bottle. Slightly dusty, malty aroma. Golden color with a decent white head. Medium body with strong carbonation. Flavor is malty, but nothing of roast; a tad biscuit with some bitter. Finish seems clean. Not bad, but it could use a bit more hop. There is bitter, so there must be hop, but I can’t place a type. NJBeerman013 (586), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Feb 3, 2008 Bottle. I can never resist when I come across something different. However, I have a feeling this beer would have been a bit better if it was fresher. Pours a pale golden yellow in color with a tight, pure white foamy head. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty, but has a strong soapy presense; almost like that of a cheap American 40oz. The taste is almost the same. A little grassy, mostly soapy. The finish is fairly clean, with a biit of a musty note. shendrix (436), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jul 30, 2007 Well...it is inoffensive enough to be refresshing should you need to wash down a salty burger, but the reason for this is its overall blandness. Tastes of slightly sweet spring water with the merest hint of hops swimming around. Nothing I’d try twice.
