| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2006 Very lagerish. Kind of like an imperial pilsner. Very malty, with adequate bitterness. Not bad, hides alcohol well. EithCubes (2165), Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 10, 2006 Bottle. Smells of sweet syrupy malt, lightly floral, vague fruitiness. Amber (or perhaps "copper" har har har) with an epehmeral but sticky white head. Taste is syrupy, strongly malty, with alcohol. Sweet and alcoholic, really. Full-bodied. Mild burn. Caramel and toffee and that vague fruitiness. Bockish, but hurts the teeth. A lot of flavor here, but simplistic and somewhat harsh. biggcb (464), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 28, 2006 1 pint .9oz bottle. Best before 07.04.06. Poured a dark amber color with a smallish amount of head. Aroma was mostly sweet malt. Flavor consisted mainly of malts and a slight bitterness. I was surprised at the 8.7% abv - very well hidden. Not a bad beer, but nothing I would rush to try again. nick76 (2678), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2006 This is a mixed bag so to speak. The aroma sweet to the point I think they must have added quite a lot of sugar before bottling. There is also some biscuits and basement aromas as well. The appearance is amber/gold with a small but nicely formed head. The flavor has nice malt mixed with astringent bitterness. There is a palate that is thin but work for this beer. The aftertaste is like butterscotch. I wish they could fix the chemical bitterness because that’s really my problem with this beer. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 3, 2006 Poured a clear amber with a persistant large off-white head. Sweet grainy corny aroma with notes of alcohol. Some caramel and honey notes. Starts malty and sweet then turn bitter and peppery from the alcohol. Sweet at the tail end. Light to medium body and somewhat slippery mouth feel. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 2, 2006 Bottle from Super Saver. Deep golden pour, with aromas of hopcitrus, some pale malts, and some heaty malt liquory corn. The palate is medium and cloying, with some honey and heat, especially as it warms. On the way down, it provides flavors of corny pale malts, some cloying caro syrup, and good doses of hops and citrus. Not a beer I would seek out again, but definitely above average.
