Aug 18, 2005 Orange in color with a cream colored head and soft carbonation. Musty aromas were hay and herbs with floral notes (not "pretty" flowers though... maybe weeds or thistle). The 8.7% comes through as it warms. Flavor was moderately malted with an evil sweetness over a heavy metallic taste/feel. Major grain alcohol kick to end with all that metallica. From experience, I have a bias against Polish lagers that this beer validated: sweet, musty, metallic... blech. (But not catty.)

Aug 14, 2005 Pours a great orange. Way to malty for tastes. Does remind me of Eye of the Hawk. 8.7% not quite a barley wine.

Aug 11, 2005 Updated: Oct 24, 2005Bottle. Honey colour, lasting head (surprisingly). A very strong alcoholic flavour in the beginning, but with a nice bittersweet caramel taste in the end. Gives a good kick. I was satisfied though I’m not very keen on strong lagers. Surprisingly good

Jul 18, 2005 Updated: Feb 25, 2008Light amber body. Light caramel aroma. Fairly strong flavor - pepper and mint with a sweet finish. Spearmint and bitter finish.
Re-rate Fed ’08: Banana and bread yeast aroma + apple-y alcohol. The flavor is of a strong lager with a sweet kick. Peppery alcohol bite at the end.

Jul 16, 2005 a light carmel color ok white head some decent lacing, smells like a carmel malt and not much else, but the aroma is pleasant. A solid palate well coated lightly creamy. Flavor has a lingering bitter a carmel malt an almost piney hop and a touch of peppermint. Good beer.

Jul 9, 2005 Bottle poured a nice deep amber with a thick creamy white head...This was the best part of this beer.
Aroma was a bit sweet and a little soapy.
The first sip made my eyes bug out! Way to sweet for me and a big alcohol flavor on the palate.
As the beer warmed it became a bit more drinkable..caramel, raisins, sweet malt.. but I’m still not going to be able to make it through the entire glass.
To sweet and to much alcohol on the palate.

Jun 25, 2005 The bottle says the alcohol is 9.1%.Has a very sweet aroma with the a sweet taste to boot.Has caramel and some darkfruits taste.You taste some alcohol which they didnt hide to well.This was a belly warmer for me.Had a sweet fruity like finish.

Mar 17, 2005 Deep golden in color with a small white head. Aroma of hops and alcohol. Warming alcoholic mouthfeel,hoppy with a dry finish.
