Taste was mostly sweet some hops but mostly sweet malts. a fruity aroma, cold ,crisp and smooth. The on draw back was it seemed very light on the stomach. freekyp (903), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 27, 2004 Amber with towering creamy head with grainy nose. I detected hints of citrus and apricot. Initial impression is sweet and malty with prominent alchohol. Bitterness hits quickly but fades quickly as well leaving a long tart finish with lasting sweetness. stefanberggren (135), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Sweet, but the alcohol backs up the sweetness. Reminds me of a weakish Icebock or a healthy Blond Dopplebock. Malt flavor dominates the taste. Hops add a background business, and are not obtrusive. Light in color with a head that actually lingers for a bit despite the alcohol. 9.1%

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 20, 2004 Pours a one-finger white bubbly head leaving a ring and not much lace. Clear light, amber color. Medium carbonation. Medium bodied. Nose is sweet. Starts and finishes sweet. The high ABV is not really noticeable. An excellent choice. $3.50 for a 400ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma. 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 13, 2004 Bottle pours amber, small milky white head, decent lacing, with lively carbonation. Sweet grains on the nose, slight banana & clove as well. Up front its sweet malts on the tongue, sweet grass/grain in the middle, but quickly it turns into a somewhat harsh hairspray/medicinal/metallic flavor at the end. This beer had me all the way up to the finish. Otherwise, good body and a slightly creamy/syrupy mouthfeel. That 9.1% ABV is quite noticable.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 11, 2004 Beer poured the color of honey, a little cloudy and nice carbonation. Head dissipated to cloud above the ale within a couple of minutes, but leaving globs of lace. Aroma brings sweet malt to mind, the flavor of caramel. Nice strong malt up front, good bitterness, nice hop balance. Strong tasting ale, but. 9% ABV is very deceptive. Finishes bitter. Pretty good drinking stuff, I will definitely do these again. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 29, 2004 The aroma is very sweet - no wonder with the 9.1% ABV - and it has notes of peaches and yeast. The color is dark amber and it has a beutiful lasting off-white head. The flavor is also sweet with notes of peach and alcohol. A nice beer to give warmth on a freezing winter night.
