Pours a nice amber with minimal head. Malty, honey and bread aroma. Has a similar taste, the honey giving it a nice smoothness. I paired this with kielbasa for easter dinner and the slightly sweet taste worked well with the smoked meat.

Pours a cloudy amber/orange color with white head. Spicy with crisp fruit aroma. Flavor similar to aroma being spicy with hints of apple and pear as well as a slight alcohol presence.

Bottle brown 500ml
Amber colour, very nice view of bubblling, quite strong head, off-white, aroma of alcoholic apples, sweet big load of malts and very gentle hops on top, not bitter, definitely oily, alcoholic, malty-biscuity, nice palate, but what is wrong with it? I think it is the alcoholic nose, being a bi too strong but taking into consideration it’s almost 9% alcohol content the job is well done. Should be a bit more bitter though.

Pours a nice copper color with a foamy white head and some minimal lacing. Aroma is lightly hoppy with some sweetness of honey and caramel. Flavor is similar with some alcohol and bitterness on the finish. Better than I was expecting.

Bottle, last of my Chicago trip stash. Pours a deep sappy amber with an aroma of candied sugar, melon, cantaloupe, banana, and slight grapefruit. Flavor is a rush of syrup, candied malt, alcohol, and a slight raisin in the finish. Full, greasy mouthfeel. WOW! I wasn’t expecting much from this beer but it totally blew me away. I will buy this again.

THOUGHTS: I think this was a little skunked. The best by date was 07-04-06 15, whatever that meatnt. I mean the 15. Not very skunked though so I’m gonna rate it amyway. The skunk was more in the aroma than the taste. Not great, but it would be halfway decent without the skunk. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, amber with a small to average, white head that mostly diminished and left slight lacing. The arma was moderatelyto heavy toasted and caramel malt, light hops, alcohol and skunk. The initial flavor was moderately sweet, while the finish was heavily sweet and moderatly bitter with and averate to long duration. The medium body was syrupy with tingly carbonation and a moderate to heavy alcoholic finish.

Bottle marked best before 04.01.07. Off-white frothy medium sized head that mostly diminished, virtually no lacing observed, transparent, slow-rising carbonation, and an orange hue. Nose was malty, caramel, sweet, and some hop notes. Flavor was sweet, bitter, malty, caramel, mildly hoppy, thick tasting, sticky, and gummy. Mouthfeel was thick, tingly, sticky and gummy. Medium body. This brew just didn’t win me over at all. It isn’t a bad beer, it just didn’t hold my attention asfaras the taste of it. It just didn’t come together for me. Sometimes that happens with a beer.
