Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Pours a nice cola colored brown. Aromas of dark malts, fruit, and a touch of spice. Has flavors of chocolate, caramel, and a touch of wood.

Pours a dark red brown color with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and sweet fruits. Flavors of roasted malts, tosted bread, caramels, litle of hazelnuts and some spices. Low carbonation with a sweet and a litle sour finish. A bit light in the flavors, but still a nice beer.

Pours a very dark but clear ruby tinted brown with a 1 finger creamy tan head that has excellent retention. Aroma is caramel, toasty sweet grain, plum, date nut bread, sweet cooked squash covered in brown sugar. Flavor is toasted grain, floral notes, brown sugar, stale bread, some caramel and a little cardboard and spiciness to the finish. Palate is thin and dry with a sharp and very active carbonation. This was a little disappointing, it looks and smells alot better than it tastes and feels. The flavor is muted and uninteresting and the palate lacks any body while the carbonation gets in the way a bit. Still not bad but there are better dubbels out there for a better price.

Bottle shared by Sparky27...THANKS ERIC!!! Crystal clear chestnut pour with a frothy eggshell head and sticky lacing. Nose of raisin, brown sugar, and a bit of spice. Caramel, toffee, and belgian yeast...and this one sizzles on the tongue like Serpent Stout. Not terribly complex but highly drinkable.

750ml bottle courtesy of JCB – thanks Jason! Pours clear dark brown with a 2 finger tan head and slick lacing. The nose is vegetal, brown sugar, spice and caramel. The taste is toffee, spicy yeast, and dark fruits. Medium prickly body. OK beer – a little on the plain side.
