| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 16, 2009 750mL bottle purchased at Cost Plus World Market in Davis, CA. Bottle says it is 9% ABV. Minerals in the aroma with some husky grain aromas. A little sweet, but the graininess dominates the nose. Mostly transparent amber body with a small, pretty lifeless light tan head. Lacing is lacking. Highly carbonated, sweet, brown sugary flavors dominate. Some dough in the middle with a bit of a mineral and metallic finish. Pretty watery and lacking body. Pretty damn boring. This is definitely not a Tripel, so the categorization of this beer needs to be adjusted. teorn88 (60), , Italy
