canary dog (397), Rutland, Vermont, USA Oct 31, 2008 Hoppy but subdued. Nice tightly wound bubbly head. Smoother and perhaps blander finish than expected, resulting in an overall feel of a draft beer. It seemed like an actual draft beer. Not bad. JFURYCAT (741), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2008 Bottle from Cooper’s Scranton PA. The tart apple-clove flavor abounds not leaving any room for many other characters to jump on stage including some sweet malts, citrus and Earthy tones (coming to a theater near you). santoslhalper (248), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 12, 2008 Draft at Earth. Clear brown with a rich beige head. Crazy chocolate and molasses aroma with dark fruits, caramel, honey, cloves, and spice. Cocoa espresso taste with dark grapes, cloves, molasses, brown sugar, and honey. A decent brew, but a far cry from an Abbey ale. egajdzis (3065), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 9, 2008 [Draft @ EB+B] Poured a murky, red brown color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of raisins, Belgian spices, roasted malts, burnt dough, and cocoa. Taste of more roasted malts, cocoa, raisins, yeast, and a dried fruity finish. TomDecapolis (2508), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 9, 2008 On tap at EB&B. Pours a deep brown with golden ruby notes with a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of dark fruits, toffee, nuts, Belgian yeast esters, childrens Tylenol, some chocolate notes. Flavor of the same, sweet and not all that great.
