Dec 9, 2008 Bottle shared with Blankboy, Gathicus, Hogtown Harry and GregClow, courtesy of blankboy. Nice dark yellow, medium white head. Slightly toasty, hoppy aroma - maybe a touch of ginger? Big acidic hoppy taste over such a thin body. More ginger. Very refreshing. A was just about to say a nicely hopped unfiltered lager, but there it is in the commercial description.

Dec 7, 2008 Blankboys bottle, shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & Tupalev. Appearance: Hazy golden orange, slightly brown. Aroma: Slight hop, sweet with banana in there too. Flavour: Musty, hoppy, slight bitter/acidic with an enjoyable hop finish.

Funky-bitter, acidic aroma, underlying sweetness - pretty decent, actually. The taste is also very acidic, a hint of cherry ... and celery. Pretty average mouthfeel, lively, bitter in the finish, maybe a hint of lemon zest. Pretty solid stuff!

Nov 19, 2008 Pours a pale copper into a shaker. Large white head recedes leaving spot lacing. Caramel and grass aromas. Bitter with little malt balance from front to back.

Oct 26, 2008 Bottle at Earth. Cloudy darker copper body with a rich and frothy off-white head. The smell is a bit subdued, but has notes of pine-sol, grass and honey. The taste is much different and packed full of flavor. Grains galore with a really rich caramel and bread base. The hops come through well with some pine and grass. The finish is clean and refreshing without a lot of the overly crisp lager notes. I really dig this brew and can’t wait to try more from High & Mighty.

Oct 23, 2008 Bottled on June 4, 08. Chunky rusty amber color with a dense creamy head. Lemony, orangina like hop-forward aroma. Clean and slightly toasty with light caramel. Surprisingly full nose for a lager of any kind, in my experience. Round and hugely clean flavor, with a pithy, bitter citrus finish. Bready malts and slightly yeasty - nice lacing, by the way. Mushy and chewy, with a grassy and herbal component. Soft finish. Really well balanced and very drinkable. As flavorful and interesting a lager as I’ve had.

Oct 20, 2008 Bottle: Pours a gorgeous hazy deep rusty copper with a monstrous lacing/pillowy tan head. Great looking beer. The aroma is zesty, clean, bread crust, a sweeter dark bready note, lots of fresh lemon zest/rind. Nice! Has body is lively and crisp yet substantial. The flavor has an amazing malt depth. Both clean and flavorful. Crisp upfront with notes of lemon zest-like hop spiciness, followed by a subtle toffee note in the back with other malt subtleties/complexities. Toasted bread crust, subtle vanilla, toasted almond and a long peppery/zesty hop finish. An awesome, hoppy lager with great malt character!

Sep 21, 2008 22 oz bomber. God... these names are beyond obnoxious. Deep amber/hazy beer with a thin white head. Aroma is quite hoppy. A touch of berryish fruitiness and a noble hop spiciness. There is a definite malty sweetness on the back as well. There is something I really like about this, but there is something else that I’m not sure I do. It has a crusty bready aroma but it also has that fairly raw grainy rusticity. The malts are quite fresh and crusty with a bready yeasty freshness. Some soft fruity hops, berries yeast and a nice grainy/malty flavour. I’m not convinced they knew what they were doing when they made this, but I like it nonetheless.
