Commercial Description:
St. Hubbins Abbey is a dry, delicately-spiced, golden-amber ale, with just a hint of coriander in the nose and the subtle accent of bitter and sweet orange peel in the finish. But the focus here is the hops, those glorious little green petals that give beer its character and its pleasing bitterness. At High & Mighty, we use only Noble European hops because we believe they make better beer. Sure, they cost a bit more, but, dammit, we think you’re worth it.

Thanks to Dmac for this one. Pours out a cloudy light to moderate copper color. Aroma is of some yeast, slight fruit and some earthy/peppery notes. Taste is of some yeast, slight fruit, and some strange spice and pepper notes in there also. Hummm.....

22 oz bottle via Capones. Poured a clear rusty amber body underneath a smaller bubbly bright white head. Aroma had some odd medicinal spicey notes with notes of aspirin, corriander, spices, yeast, uncooked dough, apricot nectar and alcohol. Flavor is fruity and tart in an odd fashion with notes of weird tropical fruit, aspirin, uncooked bread, and pepper. This one was quite the let down.

Bottle from Kingdom Liquors. Poured a clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate hops, malt, yeast and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. I would not recommend this beer to a freind.

22 oz bomber. Cloudy golden/orange pour with a thin off white head. Aroma of hops and grass. Nice taste of hops, malt and spices with an even citrus finish. I liked it but it through me off, from the name I was expecting a dubbel.

Pours gold with a white head. Smells grassy and sweet. Tastes of wildflowers, some dry mat, some peppery splashes.

Got a bad feeling from the aroma. Kind of like the bay in the summer. Not good. Pours amber with a small head. Flavor is a bit sour with some hoppy bitterness. Very thin and watery. Forced it down, not quite a drain pour.
