Dec 15, 2009 Bottle thanks to Dmac. Pours out black with a slight wispy off white head. Heavy roast and slight coffee and chocolate on the aroma. Taste is of roasted malt, cocoa powder, and a good shot of coffee.

Dec 13, 2009 22 oz bottle from Capones. Pours a deep dark black with a smaller light beige foamy head. Aroma is solid with lots of old coffee and stale chocolate on front of lots of roastiness and grass notes. Body is a little thin and the carbonation is a bit forward. The flavor has more coffee then chocolate but both are easily detectable, remainder is made up of roasted malts and grain with some syrupy light chocolate syrup and tonic water combo in the mix. Solid enough to be interesting but not solid enough to be really good.

Dec 12, 2009 22oz shared at the ORF Release Party. Pours deep ruby with a small tan head. Roasty, light coffee, mostly subdued nose. Taste is very dry, chalky, coffee grinds. Simple. Watery body. Unimpressive.

Nov 28, 2009 Bitter chocolate on the nose, cardboard or newspaper too. Odd aroma. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Thin bitter chocolate and nutty notes. Acrid mouthfeel. Not good. The shelton bros should stick to importing beer and not brew it anymore.

Nov 28, 2009 22. pours black with a dense and foamy tan head. some foamy sheets of lace that dont stick around. harsh, roasty, charred nose. creamy medium body with some prickly carb, but not much of it. ashy, roasty, charred mid palate. long dirty ashtray finish.
