| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2009 22 oz bottle from Capones. Pours a deep dark black with a smaller light beige foamy head. Aroma is solid with lots of old coffee and stale chocolate on front of lots of roastiness and grass notes. Body is a little thin and the carbonation is a bit forward. The flavor has more coffee then chocolate but both are easily detectable, remainder is made up of roasted malts and grain with some syrupy light chocolate syrup and tonic water combo in the mix. Solid enough to be interesting but not solid enough to be really good. tarheels86 (799), Washington DC, USA
