Commercial Description:
Cask; Occasional.
Classic copper colour bitter with a pleasing blend of malt and fruit on the palate, complemented by a superb hoppy finish. Pale, Amber, Crystal and Wheat malts with Cascade and Styrian Golding hops are used to create this classic bitter.

Cask at The Cat’s Back, Wandsworth, 12th Oct 2007. Clear amber with no head. Little aroma and a bland taste make this a poor quality ale.

Pint pulled at The Railway in Putney (London), a clear golden amber with a thin head. A slight fruitiness in the aroma which interesting contrasts with the sweet caramal I pick up in the flavour. A little bit too dry though for my tastes.

Cask (handpump) at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria. Attractive clear amber appearance with a small white head. There’s nothing to dislike about this beer, but not much to enthuse about wither. Not much aroma (cold as usual in a JDW). Dry malt is prevalent on the palate. Clean and easy drinking. The hops are not earthy English style, but I wouldn’t have spotted Cascade either. I can only conclude that more hops are needed.

Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton. Some vanilla and fruity hops. Fairly dry but with a touch of crystal sweetness and a bitter finish.
