Oct 27, 2008 Black pour with solid brown head. Aroma is weak dark roast. Flavor has only the slightest hint of coffee notes, which I like immensely. Also roasty chocolate malt. Pretty good, considering I don’t really like coffee at all.

Oct 23, 2008 Pitch black pour with minimal ruby hints at the edges. Slight creamy tan head hangs around nicely. Dark roasty aroma with hints of bitter roasted coffee grounds. Body is smooth like there is lactose in here. Smooth roasted malt then a finish of fresh coffee beans.

Oct 22, 2008 tasting at GDBTF on 10/18/08. dark pour with a bit of tan head. nice and soft stout. roasted malts. coffee on finish. very drinkable and at under 6% - you could have quite a few.

Oct 21, 2008 Pours a thick reddish blackish with at thick tan head. Chocolaty, creamy, roasted grain aroma. Thick smooth chocolate taste with hints of roasted grain and coffee. A very easy to drink stout and very tasty.

Oct 19, 2008 22 oz. from dchmela. Aroma is lots of chocolate, coffee and roasty malts. Color is a dark, with a reddish tint to it. Thick but smooth body. Very big coffee and malty flavors. Really like this.

Oct 18, 2008 Pours from the bottle very dark with very little head that doesn’t stick around long and leaves little lacing as it goes down. There is a slight ruby color to the darkness, but I may be just seeing things.
Smells of chocolate, coffees, malts and all balanced very nicely.
The chocolate and coffee/mocha flavors are the first things to hit just like the smell. They stay all of the way through but are joined by malts later which is nice.
A bit of sweetness as things warm up and it feels nice in the mouth overall.
Tastes exactly as it should and what it says on the bottle. I wouldn’t be able to drink alot of this in one sitting but I would actually recommend it to others as a good example of this style.

Oct 16, 2008 Aroma of roasted malt and dark chocolate malts. Pours black with a thin ring. Dry and roasty with some bitter dark chocolate, followed by more roast. Intensely dry roasty mouth feel. Hop flavor is clean and crisp. Interesting and pretty damn good.
