bleeng (587), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA Oct 30, 2009 Bottle. Nose is old hops and bitter skunk. Mild hop flavor and tart (?). Very light body and very carbonated. Not memorable. MaltOMeal (642), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Oct 24, 2009 bottle someone shared at Houston BA Tasting in October. Pours a cloudy, faded yellow with white bubbles instead of head. Nose is of lemon and floral. Taste is floral and biscuit. Mouthfeel is thin and dry with a slight bitterness. Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Oct 18, 2009 Bottle courtesy of emacgee. Clear heavy golden pour. Almost has a chalky old smell. A sweetness of sorts. Taste is chalky dry with floral flavoring. Finishes like pepperoni pizza. curly (548), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jul 24, 2009 Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Not much on the nose, cardboard. Taste is muted hops and caramel. Very bland, thin, and simple. scrizzz (1247), kirkland, Washington, USA Jun 4, 2009 Dry grainy aroma reminds me of pale lager. Bright gold and a small white head reminds me of a pale lager. Light in body, light in roast, ample honeyed sweetness, little earthy hops. brewski519 (395), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA May 20, 2009 From a 12oz bottle this ale pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma of malt, grasses, honey and some citrus. Very mild, easy drinking brew with a taste of hops, grasses and some maltiness. Great session beer - I had 3 of these put away in no time (I did say they were easy drinking). Big fan of Highland Brewing Company and this one did not disappoint. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA May 11, 2009 On tap at the Mellow Mushroom with Chris, immediately upon completing our MBA educations. For that reason, it tasted pretty damn sweet. It was much lighter (color) than I thought it would be. jrob21 (1250), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Apr 28, 2009 On tap at the brewery on tour. Getting some pollen like and grass like aromas. More American hops than I was expecting. I hear bitter and immediately think English style and English beer but maybe I’m crazy. Don’t get me wrong I like the American hop profile much more than my English brothers over there so that makes this a much more enjoyable experience for me. That experience is dampened a bit with the toasted corn flavor I am detecting in the background. It comes back around again though on the finish with a grassy hop flavor.
