| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2009 Appearance: Pours a clear, orange-amber body with a thin, white head and a few steady streams of carbonation.
Smell: Soft, light nose with only mild notes of bread malts, caramel, apple, florals, and spice.
Taste: Mild-tasting mixture of crisp grains and bread with a lightly sweet-tasting touch of caramel. Spicy, floral-toned Noble hops with a moderate amount of bitterness. Small hint of fresh orchard fruit arrives late. Dry, lightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation providing for a carbonic bite.
Drinkability: It’s an adequate, American-born Oktoberfest. Clawhammer will do in an O-fest pinch, but there’re definitely better to have out there. Rustyham (598), miami, Florida, USA

aroma is hoppy, some spices and malts.
flavor, caramel malts followed by thin bitter hop profile.Overall finish retains a good amount of sweet caramel, light spices also noted for some bitterness. Enjoyed this one a lot, more on the sweet side and not so much of the over hoppy seasonals out there. douglas88 (1679), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Pours a clear golden color with a small white head that goes down quickly. The aroma is full of those crisp malts, light banana that smells like Autumn. A easygoing smooth flavor; light hops, sweet malts, light banana. Smooth and nice. I could drink a few liters of this. biznizness (956), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Oct 19, 2009 Not as huge in the flavor dept, but very creamy and smooth. A solid highland offering, however not in my top tier of Ofests. I do always like to support NC breweries, though, so I’ll probably buy again. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Biscuity, caramelized, toffee nose with a hint of acetaldehyde. Medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. Well-balanced. Malty caramel sweetness balanced by spicy hop bitterness. Crisp, lightly bitter finish.
