Commercial Description:
A deep amber colored American ale, featuring a rich malty body. Cascade and Willamette hops add a complex hop flavor and aroma. This ale is exceptionally balanced between malty sweetness and delicate hop bitterness.

12 ounce bottle- poured out a beautiful dark tea color with a moderate wheat head. The aroma was dominated by malt. Taste was excellent, caramel and malt with a nice hop bite at the end. Sweet, but not in a bad way. Palate was smooth, just short of creamy. Definitely a keeper.

Bottle, this is my "east coast fat tire". A great brew, pours dark red with a soapy off white head. I love the hop after taste of this beer. It’s just right for my palate.

Another fantastic brew from Highland Brewing. Pours a deep amber colour with a full beige head. Mildly hoppy, yet very smooth all the way through, soft citrusy character with a pleasent floral aroma.

(cleaning out my beer bottle collection as pictured in my profile and utilizing ratebeer.com) As I recall, this was a good malty ale.

On tap in the Hibernian Irish Pub, Cary-NC. Beer poured a hazy copper red with small sudsy head, good carbonation throughout. Hops on the nose and a malt character. Some hop bitterness with a spicy caramel malt body. Slight hop bite towards the end, smooth and rather tasty with my seafood sides.

Pours red with a minor head. Caramel and hoppy flavor. Moderate mouth feel.

This is one of my favorite beers. I’m very lucky to live in NC where I can get this whenever I want. In the bottle is good but its a must on tap.
