Commercial Description:
A deep amber colored American ale, featuring a rich malty body. Cascade and Willamette hops add a complex hop flavor and aroma. This ale is exceptionally balanced between malty sweetness and delicate hop bitterness.

Coppery amber color with a decent off-white head. Roasted malt nose with a bit of hoppy bite. Very smooth, very BIG flavor of sweet malt up front with a nice hop bitterness in the finish. Very nice.

Pours a nice copper medium red brown with a head of small tan bubbles. Nose is carmel and happy nutty malt. Taste is tangy and more caramel happiness. Body is very fluid. Nice bitters. GOod beer.

12 oz bottle in a basic pub glass

Appearance: ruddy, copper brown with plenty of bubbles and a thin-to-near-naught white head. On the dark side of translucent.

Nose: Sweetish caramel roasted malt leads into mild hops.

Taste: Not unpleasant burnt-malt-with-hops sensation. A little on the sweet side but the bitterness comes through at the end. It’s got "session beer" written all over it, if a bit on the strong side at 5.8%

Palate: Spritzy and fun. Pair with food for sure -- it will cut through all kinds of oil and fat and leave you refreshed.

Overall: A great flagship ale from a strong local brewery. Equally satisfying as a session beer and an all-around food companion. Perfect with pizza; try with other Italian fare as well!

Bottle courtesy of tronraner. Pours light brown with a thin white head. Smells earthy with some tea like hints. Tastes of spice, malt, light pepper, tea. Decent.

Reddish/amber ale. Thin and filtered, nice and ’delicate’ beer. Very drinkable.

One of my favorite Highland, and last to rate! Pours a nice ruby color with light head. Taste of small hops and deliciousness! Good beer, love it!

bottle. Solid amber... pours well, some malt to the aroma. Some caramel and sweet malts come through on the palate. Spicy on the tip of the tongue... very smooth over the palate.. nice and really soft around the sides and back. Slight bitter finish on the end. Solid session beer.
