Nose is hops and that is about it. Mouthfeel is light with a little carbonation. Taste is mostly just smooth malt and a nice finishing bitterness. Nothing special and difficult to pick out specific tastes but a solid Highland ale. drfabulous (1252), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 23, 2008 Draught at Brick Store. Not too sure what to make of it. Not as solid as Bell’s Amber. An ok amber with a bit of musty taste. Not sure I would return to it. ElGaucho56 (393), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Pours a deeper amber-gold with small white head. Nose is of biscuit malt, slight medicinal hops. More biscuit on the palate, with a slight toffee sweetness, more herbal hops in the finish. A simple session ale. Pastor (509), Maine, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2008 Bottle: Courtesy of beerlando...thanks man. Dark amber pour with a fizzy, cream head. Caramel malt aroma with some molasses and pineapple notes. Floral and citrus hops come through as it warms. Fruity, candied sugar flavor initially yields to a dry malt finish with some floral hop notes. Medium-bodied. Good session brew. durhambeer (1218), Durham, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2008 I’m a big fan of this brew. Along with Duck Rabbit Baltic Porter, one of the beers that makes me proud to be from NC. Smells like it will be sweet, but malty and generously hoppy as well. Very easy to drink. If I’m in for a binge session, this is the one I’ll have around for the last 3 beers of the night.... adrian910ss (1425), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
