Commercial Description:
A deep amber colored American ale, featuring a rich malty body. Cascade and Willamette hops add a complex hop flavor and aroma. This ale is exceptionally balanced between malty sweetness and delicate hop bitterness.

Tap. Clear amber/copper w good carb & fantastic rocky beige head that held up rather well. Good sticky lace. Aroma is sweet creamy malt w moderate hops. Flavor is rather bitter semi sweet med roast malt w moderate hop flavor & good bitterness. Into med bodied. This beer was OK, but for an IPA addict, a bit subdued.

Exceptionally sweet amber. Much moreso than I expected. The hop bitterness is there, but you really have to look for it. This isn’t a beer I could drink more than one or two of.

From a bottle. Pours a deep orange color. Very piney aroma. Hops, pine, a little grass, and a slight hint of grapefruit in the flavor. This is a pretty good beer.

Poured a nice amber color with a white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of cereal malt and celery. Flavor is thin at first but lots of grassy-pine hops come through in a fairly bitter finish. Medium slick feel with a dry metallic finish. The hoppiest amber I’ve had so far. Not bad.

THis is a nice amber ale w/ a good balance between hops and malt. This is a good session beer.

pours a nice, deep, reddish-orange color with a slight, light brown, even head. Starts with some fruity berry-y sweetness. And ends slightly hoppish and every so slightly citrusy. Well-balanced, medium bodied (by my definition of ’body’ which is still developing). I’d definitely drink this beer again. I think it’s some of the best NC has to offer.

Decent. Dark copper color, with an aroma of pine and sweet malt. Flavor is much the same, fairly sweet and malty with hoppy/piney tones, moderaly bitter, not too complex. Decent but not so great.
