Commercial Description:
A deep amber colored American ale, featuring a rich malty body. Cascade and Willamette hops add a complex hop flavor and aroma. This ale is exceptionally balanced between malty sweetness and delicate hop bitterness.

Pours a nice copper medium red brown with a head of small tan bubbles. Nose is carmel and happy nutty malt. Taste is tangy and more caramel happiness. Body is very fluid. Nice bitters. GOod beer.

Good for an amber ale, but otherwise nothing stands out. Well balanced malt and hop flavor. Lightly sweet malt taste with some hops in the finish. Strong caramel malt aroma with a touch of hops. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Poured a dark amber with a two finger tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, yeast and caramel. Flavor is same, with a bitter hop finish. Decent.

Lovely copper with a short, firm copper head and better-than-avergae lacing. Metallic, yeasty nose loaded with hot grass clippings and artificial chocolate flavoring. Flavor matches the aroma... extremely dank-tasting; caramel malts are evident. Buttery full palate bordering on greasy and chalky. Muddy aftertaste. I’ve had this beer many times over the last decade or so, draft and bottle, and it has always tasted the same. The only Highland beer I actively dislike.

Tap. Dark amber with tan head. Smells freaking great and taste even better. More than makes up for the oatmeal stout that I thought was inadequate. This is very good beer.

Bottle from Suttree. Thanks!
Pours a dense amber with and off-white head and thick, intricate lacing. Smells of bready red wine. Flavor is a slight floral hops punch followed by a swif kick of roasted nut biscuit. Surprisingly full and lasting mouthfeel. Nice lil’ ale here.
