Beers rating #100 Bomber from mgumby10; Thanks; Nose of flowery hops mixed with caramel, fruity, and sugary notes; hazy orange with a medium off-white head; flavor of hop bitterness, lots of sweet fruitiness, light spiciness, and some citrus; finish is reasonably bitter as the rest if the flavors fade out!

22oz bottle. Beautiful nose and presentation but falls apart on the tongue. Broad aromas of mint, cilantro, woody resin, cinnamon and brown sugar. Pours a nice cloudy, dark copper with a creamy off white head. Lots of sweeter malt on the tongue. More along the lines of an ASA than an IIPA. Mild bittering grassy and resiny hops but the brown sugar malt aspect dominates over the hops. A touch of oxidization as well. Medium bodied, creamy with a lingering grassy bitter finish. Probably loads better fresh. Thanks Matt!

22oz bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was sticky and off white with decent retention. Some nice lace was left behind at the end. The aroma was malt dominated with molasses, caramel, and plum notes. Thicker mouth feel than I had anticipated. Sweet on the tongue with mild hop bitterness peeking through the syrupy sugars. Malts outweighed the hops in the flavor. Caramel and toffee dominated with more submissive orange, alcohol, and raisin notes. Pretty good.

22oz bottle. pours hazy golden-amber with off white head. nose is mostly aged malts (how old is this?). flavor is that of a pretty old IIPA, I’m guessing around a year old. initial flavor is citrusy but there’s an aged rotted vegetable finish with booze. i’d like to re-rate fresh, perhaps this would have been better in a few years also.

Bomber from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours a deep luscious sunset orange with dense but small slightly off-white head. Nose is a melange of great hop characters: citrusy, piney, resiny, funky. Graham cracker malt scent resides beneath. Full and initially sweet on the palate, before a melon-like tropical hop flavor comes forward, shifting into a spruce sweet bitterness and then finally lingering tangerine in the finish. Bready caramel malts add a touch of balance without getting in the way of the hops. Considering the amount of hops used, the beer isn’t overwhelmingly bitter like some Double IPAs, focusing more on aroma. A definite treat, in my opinion.

bottle from Bruisin Ales...been sittin in the fridge since december..... pours a medium caramel brown with thin soapy off white head that congregates to glass rim..... aroma is dominated by caramel malt at this point with some remnants of some tropical fruit hops. hops have faded well too much for my liking..... flavors of chalky sweet caramel and dark fruits with a slight bitter hop finish in the end. it also leaves a pepperiness on the tongue.....not anything shattering but i really should have had this fresh.

Bottle, thanks swoop jones. Nice golden orange, fiery, hazy, small white head, but good lacing. Nice aroma of caramel and lot sof hops - of the oily variety, not fruity. Taste is really sweet - more caramel, tons of resiny hops, sticky sweet body. Alcohol as well hidden as it could be, body is medium shading light for the style, decent carbonation. Straightforward well done example, which is just fine by me.

Bottle thanks to Mgumby in a recent trade. Pours a chill hazy orangey ligh amber with a thin diminishing head. Aroma is oragnley hops and some citrus notes, also some grass and becomes almost soapy. flavor is a clash betweenen some crackery base malts and some astringent and dull faded hops with some pine needle, ash, and orange scented soap. Astringent and almsot slick bitterness which doesnt linger very long. This is just average at best I think for a DIPA.
