Hoss (601), Florida, USA Oct 19, 2007 A decent IPA but is it a double? Had most of the standard flavors , I did not find the alcohol oppressing.
riversideAK (1700), Shoreline, Washington, USA Oct 28, 2008 Bottle from kp. Thanks man! Reddish amber colored brew with an extremely thin head. Citrus fruit aroma. Tons of grapefruit, orange, and tangerine but not a strong burst, but more of a very nice juicy aroma. The flavor is sweet and juicy. Semi sweet caramel malt, citrus hops, pine hops, and a touch of earth. Citrus, piney hops are dry and lingering. Some alcohol comes through in this hoppy, juicy brew. Hank1980 (413), Athens, Georgia, USA Oct 16, 2008 Bottle shared at Trappeze. Poured a deep amber orange, with minimal head. Aroma of sweet malt, spiced hop, and some floral hops as well. Taste was sticky sweet, with a nice hop bite. Finish was bitter, though not as bitter as some other IIPAs. Overall, a nice brew.
nqualls (548), Tennessee, USA Aug 28, 2008 22 oz bomber from Brawley’s in Charlotte. I loved this beer. Poured into a tulip glass. Poured a slightly hazy gold/orange color with a medium off white head. Aroma is citrusy hops as the beer warms. Flavor was well balanced for an IIPA. Sweet malt dominates at first, which gives way to floral and piney hops. Medium/full bodied with excellent carbonation. Great beer. Wish I had purchased more than two. jerc (3268), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 2008-08-16. Hazy orange body with a modest creamy beige head. (3+) Aroma is a touch muted at first but some nice citrusy hops comes otf after a bit. Touches of tea like herbal notes. (7+) Sweetish malt core in the flavour with touches of caramel, light resin and herbal hops, light bitterness. (7+) Smooth medium bodied palate. (3+) Bottle, Coles IPA Festival, Buffalo
