Bottle. Pours golden with a small white head. Fairly haze-free body. Not a big nose, citrus hops, grassy, some light toasty malts. Flavor is step up, citrus hops, biscuity malts, strong bitter finish which then fades to maltiness. Med carb, feels a little thin.

Hazy amber with a medium white slowly evaporating lacy white topper. Aroma of bread, sweet malt and citrus. Taste of citrus, pine, sweet malt with a smooth pine finish. A little sticky but overall a decent balanced IPA.

Pours hazy orange/amber with a nice looking, thin white head, good lace. Smells subdued citrus hoppy, orange scents, with a solid malt backbone. Tastes very nice, citrus hoppy sweet with a sweet malt finish. Medium body, good carbonation. Very nice brew.

Bottle. Pours golden orange with thin white head and a skunky aroma. Taste is piney, grapefruit hops with an over bitter finish. Not really something I would drink again.

To second StFun, the aroma is bad. I kept thinking, maybe it is just a skunk - but after a while I thought that was wrong too. Pours a nice cloudy yellow/orange color. Looks good, smells bad, tastes bad. Not at all in line with great IPAs. Very very bitter, almost undrinkable.

Oh man, I wanted to like this one badly, but honestly couldn’t get past the aroma. It smelled like dry cat piss or similar. No joke. I held my nose and took a drink, and didn’t mind the flavor (I actually liked the bitterness and piney hop taste) but, every time I caught a wiff of this one, I wanted to gag. Highland makes some really solid brews, and I loved the name of this one, but damn that stench!!

[1329-20080508] 12floz bottle. Pine needle aroma on a bed of grass hops. Cloudy, orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head and small bubbles around the edges. Dull grassy pine resin flavour. Medium body is a little bitter. Drinkable, nice bitterness.
