Hints of citrus and pine, but not in abundance. This would be a beer tasted best with food... probably spicy food. A good beer, but in general, I’d for for another Highland brew before this one. dkachur (2411), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

A- Pours a clear orangey hue with slim to no head.
S- Smells a bit yeasty, almost saisonesque in the nose.
T- Bready at the begining and moves into slight piney hops in the end. Pretty typical, nothing too exciting.
M- Medium viscosity, good amount of carbonation.
D- This is not extreme in the least. Could easily be sessioned but there is definitely other things I would pick first. janelso3 (7), USA does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2008 I bought a 6er of this IPA from Sam’s Quik Shop in Durham (if you are on this site and have ever heard of Durham, NC, you probably know about this place already; if not, look it up on this site). I walked in with 2 intentions: to buy a craft IPA and to buy a quality regional North Carolina brew. Killed 2 birds with 1 stone on this purchase. I’d never heard of this beer or even this brewery. Turned out to be a lucky guess. Or maybe I just have good beer intuition. Nice hops, citrus, long hoppy finish in the back of the throat. all-in-all, A Tasty Beer. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA

Flavor is average - a bit like fuzzy metallic hops. Tin aftertaste. Mouthfeel is not very good - dry and thin and watery. keghead (15), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2008 A decent IPA. Slight hoppy aroma. Semi-cloudy deep yellow appearance. Flavor is strongly hopped and bitter with a dry finish. Almost a little sour for me. brewblackhole (1384), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

Wouldn’t refuse one
