| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 4, 2007 draft. golden amber’ish with slight flowery aroma. small head with sticky lacing. small citrus tang in the front with a bit of astringincy (sp?) and very little bitterness at the end. enjoyable and sessionable but nothing to really make this memorable. one of the more modest highland offerings. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2007 Draft pint at the Flying Saucer, Raleigh. Dark red with an adhesive head. I don’t get much of an aroma, but this is a viscuous goodie ... richly malty, slightly tangy but not overwhelming fruity. This is a caged beast, but if you’re a hophead looking for some flowering NW hops, I think the St Terese’s is better. (#2829, 4/27/2007) kwoeltje (1328), Manchester, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 20, 2007 (bottle) medium-light amber with small white head. Somewhat faint hops aroma (it was served ice cold, which may have contributed). Flavor was grassy hops. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 18, 2007 not the best offering from highland. has a sour hop finish, a mild front with hops in the middle, but it is not an overall very hoppy beer, has a sour tint to it.... | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 15, 2007 gold with a medium sized white head. grapefruit hop aroma. moderately hoppy with a malty backbone. could use some more hops but its decent. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Highland Kashmir IPA pours a hazy goldenrod color with a thin, frothy white crown and mild carbonation. Brown sugar and light caramel aroma that is modestly sweet. There is also some tea and subtle citrus hops in the aroma. The lightly sweet caramel maltiness carries into the flavor initially, then a dull, hefty bitterness stikes and lasts through the finish. After the tastebuds acclimate, the caramel/toffee malt base can be noticed throughout, some tea flavor, as well as the hop flavor (hightly floral, slightly grassy) can be tasted in the bitterness. The finish is dry and slightly spicy like a beer with rye in it might have. The palate is medium and the beer is quite smooth. Overall this is a pretty good IPA.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2007 Cloudy, light tea colored beer. Lemony zip, some brine, a good overall balance but nothing much stood out. Some light diacetyl, some caramel, not edgy. Got to talking to the drunk guy next to me at the Flying Saucer and didn’t get all the nuances. Still, it was enjoyable, and somewhat distinct for the style, but not too remarkable. I’ll have to re-rate this one day. adavis234 (137), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 28, 2007 12oz bottle pours a dark golden body with a hint of orange and a thick, bubbly head. A hoppy aroma with a hint of spice. Not as hoppy as many IPAs and not as flavorful. A disapointment from one of my favorite breweries.
