Light hoppy aroma with some peaches and other citrus. Color is a cloudy dark golden orange. Flavor is bitter and kind of dry. Light malts. Not very sweet at all. Finish is dry and pretty clean. Kind of a boring IPA though. Run of the mill. andyhite (293), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 30, 2007 12oz. white, lumpy and bubbly head with clear amber pour. ah, how pleasant the smell of fresh hops. it smells a bit spicy too. it’s nice to see the guys at highland know how to create a smooth, slightly bitter ipa. it’s simple, but i could drink 100 of them. while it isn’t the most complex nor is the flavor the most savorable, but it has an extremely high drinkability. truly a beer to enjoy more than one of. rayg1 (438), Ft. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 17, 2007 Pours a HAZY orange with a nice white head. Smells slightly of hops with a pleasing sweetness. Taste is hoppy and citrus but fairly light compared to other IPA’s I’ve had before which was actually welcomed as it was balanced well by some sweetness. A slightly thicker mouthfeel, not bad stuff. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 16, 2007 Pours a golden color with loys of sediment causing one of the haziest IPA’s I have ever seen. Aroma is of earhy resinous hops and an abudant amount of caramel malt. Taste is bitter citrus hops with a nice caramel backbone. In the finish there is some nice notes of apricot and orange. In interesting IPA that was quite enjoyable. EithCubes (2162), Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 13, 2007 Bottle. Citric tang with a touch of grapefruity hops. Clear orange pour with a creamy beige head. Bright and cheery. Sweet rush of floral hops slowly (and only slowly) changes into a floral, herby hop finish. Spicy with notes of grass, light crispness with a lightish medium body. Not nearly as bitter as was expected, and as a result, something of a humbled, plain PA. At the very least, has its own character. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Thanks to decaturstevo for this. Pours a lightish clean gold with a small head. Aroma is mild hops, floran, and citrus. Flavor is a mix of hops and faint malts. Also a tad of floral and citrus. As it warms and you swirl it in the glass you can smell light chocolate it seems. Pretty good. DarkStar22769 (100), Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 8, 2007 Hazy yellow-gold pour with a lacy white head. Aroma consists of a slight hoppiness with some maltiness. I’d agree with a floral scent that consumes the hop aroma. The aroma is deceptive as the sharp hop attack pierces the first swallow. As the beer warms this dissipates and the drinker is left with a chewy caramel/toffee flavour. Ungstrup (15343), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 6, 2007 A hazy orange beer with a thick beige head. The aroma is lightly hoppy combined with light notes of oranges. The flavor is very grassy and with a dry bitter end, but I find the body a bit thin.
