The aroma is lightly hoppy combined with light notes of oranges. The flavor is very grassy and with a dry bitter end, but I find the body a bit thin. jrob21 (1275), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 1, 2007 First impression is that it is light on the hops and more balanced with the malts. Some straw and caramel in the taste. Pours a golden color with a quick white head. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 29, 2006 Bottle, July 2006. Amber colour. Quite floral aroma. The usual resinous, piney US hops are joined by herbaceous, grassy, nettley character that makes it a little different to many US IPAs I’ve tried. I wouldn’t call the hop character particularly aggressive - rather smooth and quite easy drinking, but not short of grip and nicely balanced. Quite enjoyable.

Aroma very faintly of caramel and grapefruit. Light bodied. A bit of biscuit malt, and a little bit of citric and hay hops. Muted flavors overall, nothing really stands out here. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 16, 2006 A decent IPA. Pours a lighter color and has a nice foamy head. Dry, bitter flavor. Somewhat flowery and spicy. Definitely drinkable and at 5.6% ABV it’s not a bad choice to put in the mix once in a while.
