On tap. Pours clear gold with thin white head of bubbles. Dry and hoppy, almost like a malty pilsener. Not exactly an IPA, but crisp and decently hoppy for maybe a summer ale.

Clear gold, white head. Spicy hop aroma dominates. Slightly thin feel with dry, hoppy flavors and bittering at the front. Not quite enough malt background, seems a little unbalanced. I like very hoppy beers, but this needs a little more base to carry the hops in my opinion. The finish is quite dry and refreshing. More of a warm weather IPA, if there is such a thing.

Draught. This isn’t exactly what I was expecting. Reminds me of aromatic lumber in many respects. It is hoppy yet smooth, but lacks depth. Not bad, but Highland’s other beers are better.

draught. Kashmir is a gold color with a decent head. There’s a woody, earthy nose on this. Cedary sweet flavor with a just a bit of spicy hops. I think the regular Highland pale ale had more character than this one. I would definitely recommend any of their other brews, which are delicious, over this one.

Bottle. Pours gold, barely hazy with a decent head. Aroma: wood, light grapefruit, and vanilla. This is a modestly hoppy IPA with some grapefruit to give it bite. I felt this was more English leaning with the wooden/earthy notes and a surprising vanilla character.

The aroma jumped right out of the bottle when I opened it! Pouring it really let loose the spicy hop aroma that quieted down after a minute. Off white head with ok retention. Deep golden color, maybe a little foggy? There’s a good malt balance to counter the profuse hops. This is a good beer for tasters who want to try an IPA but aren’t crazy hop-heads.

Bottle. Light gold (too light?) with a really nice head. Aroma is honeyand doughy grains. Taste is malty and sweet more than hoppy. With Pop The Cap, I hope this brewery really starts to kick out some good shit. Tweak this IPA and your porter and you’ll b golden. Cheers

Aroma of tangerine/grapefruit over sweet honey. Appears a clear golden yellow-orange with a small white head and noticeable effervescence of medim-sized bubbles. Flavor starts buttery with sweet malt and finishes with a dominating hoppy bitterness that is earthy. Palate is medium-light, slick, and with a lingering aftertaste that is not altogether pleasant. Overall, this beer is just somewhat more than the sum of its parts.

Pure gold body with mild carbonation and a clear, uniform white head. Initially catty, musty nose improves and reveals interesting floral and green mango hop notes with some nice butterscotch in the background. Flavor has lots of pale malt character with mildly sweet honey notes, flowery, fruity hops, and medium bitterness in the finish. Interesting, somewhat sweet IPA. This is a good brewery.
