This is my favorite IPA. I’ve only had a few, but this one is by far the best I have tasted.

2004 SE Gathering: This is a great IPA. Pours a light gold color with a great head and lacing. Strong hoppy flavor with a nice alcohol warmth. Mmmm...

(On tap, Mellow Mushroom, Asheville, NC.) This beer is my favorite from Highland Brewing Company of Asheville, NC. Love the big hoppy flavor and light body with a good alcohol kick in the finish. Pretty to look at, too: light yellowish orange and a touch cloudy. If you're ever near Asheville, NC, this is one to check out.

Started out with thick head and strong hoppy aroma. Taste was absolutely delicious with a moderate bitter quality and malty and dry aftertaste. A great IPA!.

Aroma of citrus and a little pine. Pours with small white head. A very good IPA. Not the hoppiest I’ve had, but a good choice on tap or bottle.

The aroma jumped right out of the bottle when I opened it! Pouring it really let loose the spicy hop aroma that quieted down after a minute. Off white head with ok retention. Deep golden color, maybe a little foggy? There’s a good malt balance to counter the profuse hops. This is a good beer for tasters who want to try an IPA but aren’t crazy hop-heads.

Best beer I’ve had in the USA - gets close to a decent English bottled pale ale. Nicely bitter without the flowery / fruity hop flavour so prevalent in US brews. Pity none of our local restaurants serve it, only the commercial urine brews.

Another rare gem on IPA night courtesy of Ross. I can’t believe more of these beers haven’t been rated. Highland has been great beer. I’m sure this will live up to the previous beers. Big billoughy white head out of bottle. Great Looking golden IPA just taunting me to take a sip. Very good IPA. Nice hops and malts, nice sweet tea undertone. More lemon in this one vs. grapefruit in the Dogwood. Smooth and very very drinkable. Another beer way underrated and suprised that more Ratebeerians haven’t tried this breweries product line. Its very very good. Allot of you guys are missing out on some really good beers. This one is probably my favorite of the Highland line. Deserves higher ratings too.
