Commercial Description:
A unique Highland creation, this robust beer is black in color, very malty with hints of chocolate-roasted flavor and a well balanced hop character.

Pours a clearish chestnut brown with dim red highlights. Aroma is a little lacking. Flavor of roast chocolate comes out as it warms. Not overly impressed here, but certainly drinkable.

12oz thanks to bitbucket! Dark brown with nice light brown head. Light roast and chocolate aroma with a bit of what almost Very smooth and light nutty roast. A little ash comes through. Enjoyable session brew.

Smells a bit roasty. Nice easy drinking. Roasty, a bit dry, not heavy at all. Quite tasty.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is sweet with chocolate and malt. Flavor is roasty with a bitter chocolate finish. Could stand to be a little more full-bodied. Great beer nonetheless.

Pours to a dark, amber color with a tan head. Aroma is filled with sweetness and hints of chocolate with a moderate body, very smooth, malty beer that is roasted with chocolate malts in it. Goes down easy, another great beer from the boys at Highland

Ok, this beer is overly sweet, very thin with little balance. It is like a decent homebrew extract beer. Overall, It just misses on most areas. Thin mouth feel, sweetness, little body, it is like a extract beer with extra caramel malt added. Seriously, not very good.

Courtesy of Sammy. It’s a dark brow with a red hue and a dense, creamy head. The aroma has ntoes of roasted malt, hops and light coffee and chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, slightly bitter coffee, light chocolate and a roasted bitterness in the finish. It’s not very full-bodied, but it’s smooth, nice and quite charming.
