An opaque brown beer with a huge tan head. The aroma is sweet roasted containing lots of chocolate. The flavor malty with strong notes of chocolate, but a sourness lingering in the back and the body is thin.

Bottled, thanks SpringsLicker! Transparently black, lasting head. Grapefruit aroma. Dry and very aromatic with soft mouthfeel. The finish is really salty with good bitterness.

ultra smooth chocolate flavor, solid lace (nitro?), amazing velvet character, light chocolate flavor, could be a great winter session beer, upgraded from 2 to 3 rating on body alone, better in the sample size, or is it warmth?

Very dark burgundy; thin but creamy-looking head; fruity aroma (cherry, raisin) w/ touch of roast. The oatmeal is immediately evident in the creamy body, though a soft carbonation also contributes. Oaty, fruity (cherry), lightly roasty flavour. Fairly sweet, a little bit fatty in the finish (typical oatmeal characteristic). Very drinkable - a cross between an old-school porter and an oatmeal stout.

Black body with a medium tan head. Aroma is medium sweet, cherry, light roasty. Taste is pretty much the same with some coffee added. Finish is light coffee bitter. Creamy medium body. Very nice beer.

Bottle at Kookfest 2006. Very dark brown, lasting beige head. Hoppy aroma, too hoppy for a porter. Good charcoal in mouth, some sourness. Pretty good finish now tooo. Dryness on end. It gets better as it goes on.

Courtesy of Sammy. It’s a dark brow with a red hue and a dense, creamy head. The aroma has ntoes of roasted malt, hops and light coffee and chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, slightly bitter coffee, light chocolate and a roasted bitterness in the finish. It’s not very full-bodied, but it’s smooth, nice and quite charming.
