The aroma is sweet roasted containing lots of chocolate. The flavor malty with strong notes of chocolate, but a sourness lingering in the back and the body is thin. omhper (12283), Stockholm, Sweden

ultra smooth chocolate flavor, solid lace (nitro?), amazing velvet character, light chocolate flavor, could be a great winter session beer, upgraded from 2 to 3 rating on body alone, better in the sample size, or is it warmth?

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 23, 2002 Very dark burgundy; thin but creamy-looking head; fruity aroma (cherry, raisin) w/ touch of roast. The oatmeal is immediately evident in the creamy body, though a soft carbonation also contributes. Oaty, fruity (cherry), lightly roasty flavour. Fairly sweet, a little bit fatty in the finish (typical oatmeal characteristic). Very drinkable - a cross between an old-school porter and an oatmeal stout. argo0 (6982), Washington DC, USA

Hoppy aroma, too hoppy for a porter. Good charcoal in mouth, some sourness. Pretty good finish now tooo. Dryness on end. It gets better as it goes on. Maria (6312), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 17, 2008 Courtesy of Sammy. It’s a dark brow with a red hue and a dense, creamy head. The aroma has ntoes of roasted malt, hops and light coffee and chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, slightly bitter coffee, light chocolate and a roasted bitterness in the finish. It’s not very full-bodied, but it’s smooth, nice and quite charming. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA
