One-third pint, gravicask, SIBA Brewery Bar, GBBF. Appealing clear copper coloured body. Display of laceworks on the glass. Fine aromas of dry, late fruits. The taste character is a blend of dried fruits and malts ending up with a rather long-lived bittersweet ending. A bit vinous on the swallow. Harmonious and good (Earls Court, London 06.08.2009).

Cask@GBBF 2009. Golden color, not much head. Slight fruity and plastic nose. Medium-bodied. Has apple, wood and some grass in the flavor. Bitter aftertaste. A bit like an European strong lager.

Cask@GBBF2009. Golden colour, small head. Aroma is bigtime wooden, acidic sourness as well as some stinging honey as well as mild fruityness. Flavour is sweet honey, nectar, fruits and some bready and caramelly notes, balancing up the flavour to be quite nice.

On tap at GBBF 09. Golden with a frothy head. Sharp earthy hop aroma and flavours. More balancing caramel sweetness in the mouth. A likeable blast.

Cask (handpump) @ Cask and Barrel, 115 Broughton Street, Edinburgh EH1 3RZ, Scotland.
Clear medium to dark orange color with a average, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, toasted, caramel and toffe notes, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, and a alcohol burn on the lips. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20090409]

Cask, Bodega, Newcastle. A golden affair with a thin pallid head. Sweet malt aroma with some fruitiness. A hint of spice in the flavour which was again on the sweet side. Medium bitter finish. Rather unrefined and simple. Glaggable.

Casked from Cask & Barrel. Pours a gold, a bit sweet. Not really anything to write home about.

Cask at the Bow bar??, Edinburgh, 20-03-09 on Craig’s crawl of Edinburgh’s finest establishments. Pours warm gold with a white head, there’s no denying this is a good looker. Alcohol tends to show a little too much and there is also some syrupy sweetness which is just a bit heavy handed that aside its a actually a very nice beer. There is a pleasant lingering aftertaste with asurprising amount of dryness, its not bad but promised to be so much more A6 A5 F7 P3 OV13 3.4
