Commercial Description:
This “shining example” of our spring seasonal has a complex malty body enhanced with traditional spicy noble hops. This Bock is a medium body lager with a smooth, crisp finish. A creamy head tops this fine Bock with the usual Highland twist on style.

a cloudy brown/caramel colored beer with no head. aroma of sour apples, butter, toffee, peanut brittle. flavor is similar. not a bad bock but its a little thin and the appearance losses some points.

Bottle. Pours a crystalline dark copper with a small head. The aroma is a little gummy with hints of butter, caramel, some wooden hops, maybe apples. Ample bock character is noted in the flavor, not my favorite thing. I found the finish to be a bit sticky. HInts of fig, apple, butter, light earth are present. Not really interesting. It’s a shame they sacrificed Tasgall for this.

Bottle from Brawleys. Pours out a dark brown color with a white head on it. Smell is sweet and fruity, with not much else going on. The taste is really similar, with nothing much going on. Sure its drinkable, but I kind of expected more from this one. Not much to say for a beer that really doesnt offer alot.

on tap at Flying Saucer (Charlotte). above average rocky off-white head into clear brown body. great lacing present. aromas of moderate malts and some oatmeal and light hops. flavor is moderately sweet and bitter throughout. watery texture. long finish duration. pretty decent to good stuff.

pours a dark copper with mild fluffy head. Good light mouthfeel with a malty dry finish. Like to see Higland jump on the seasonal band wagon, personally just not a huge fan of bocks. This one had a dry biter finish that was hard for me to get past, still not bad by any means.
