Commercial Description:
A golden pale having a slightly malty body balanced by an assertive American hop flavor. This pale ale displays a delicate hop nose due to the process of dry hopping with whole leaf Cascade. A crisp and refreshing beer perfect for any occasion.

Cloudy golden amber pour with a small white head. Aroma is interesting mix of sweetness and hoppiness, very appetizing. The flavor, however, doesn’t bear that out. Thin on the palate with a soapy flavor. Not very good, really.

Light copper pour, medium white head. Aroma is citrus and caramel. Flavor is citrus hops, caramel malts and a touch of biscuit in the finish. Thin bodied but the description does say that, bitterness is low which is nice but I wish there was more hop flavor and aroma.

12 oz. bottle purchased in Asheville. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a small disappearing white head. The aroma had a big citrus character along with moderately sweet malt, floral notes, and light spice. The flavor opens very fruity with citrus and even apples coming through. The finish is more bready malt but is still refreshing. The nose had me very interested, but the flavor lost me a bit. Still very drinkable. Light to medium bodied.

Appearance: Pours a clear, copper body with a small, fizzy white head. Smell: Pale malts, some sweated grains, and a bit of citrus for the aroma. Taste: Mildly sweet pale maltiness with a hint of caramel. Light citrus flavor that grows in its grapefruitiness as it warms provides a medium bitterness. Finishes lightly bitter. Mouthfeel: Somewhere in the medium-thin range for body. Medium-high carbonation. Drinkability: A relatively smooth, easy drinking, if a bit average pale ale.

A very drinkable & easy to appreciate yet still some how complex & "in yo’ face" mild, pale ale.

12oz bottle. Cloudy deep golden color. White whispy head. Aroma of big citrusy hops. Very pleasant hop aroma. Flavor of nutty, caramel malt. Bitterness adds a good bit of balance. Tasty and a perfect session.

This is one smooth drinker! I didn’t care much for the smell, but it has a light hoppy flavor and goes down very easy. Thanks to emacgee for the bottle.

12oz, bottle, well this too is rather boring, this has a bit more hop forwardness than some other Pale Ales, but nowhere near Alpha King, this one is easy drinking or rather easy gulping, moderate taste, and yet another brew i’ve gotten to try from Highland.
