Flavor is really lighter than I like in an APA, but clean and without flaws. A bit bubbly, would go well with spicy food. timsilvia32 (447), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 11, 2008 Refreshing in scent and appearance. Nice floral boquet. Clean and crisp, not as bittingly bitter as some pales. Clean as a whistle. I’d almost consider this to be more like an Alt. This would be the beer to drink in the spring/summer, not the Shining Rock Lager, though that is good also. sallad (111), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 9, 2008 Clear golden with an orangish hue. Thick, pillowy eggshell head. Spicy citrus with notes of pine, toast and caramel aroma. Nicely balanced -- only mildly tilted towards bitter -- with some honey sweetness and grapefruit playfully zipping around through the finish. Easy drinking summer beer! BiddleBrau (332), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Bottle. Amber pour with a tall white head. Nose is hoppy with light pine, some citrus, spices and soft malt. Taste is spicy hops, some pine, more citrus notes, light earthy notes, soft caramel, malts and fruit. Body is medium with above average carbonation. Bubbly but not too "burpy". Lingering bitterness throughout. Almost aspirin-like. Concludes with more hops - spicy, earthy and piney - citrus fruits, soft caramel, light malt sweetness and touches of fruit. pintocb (516), Darsville, Georgia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 1, 2008 Pours an amber/copper color with a very nice foamy off-white head, which settled down pretty quickly but I still got some decent lacing. Aroma is citrus grapefruit and hops. The flavor however is bready malts with some grapefruit hops showing in the middle then more malts in the finish. A bit more malty than I initially thought it was going to be. Overall pretty solid. lithy (1800), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 29, 2008 Slightly orange-yellow pour with a creamsicle head (I swear it has a tint of orange in that white). The head lingers while you take in whiffs of hops. Visible carbonation. Taste is sort of bland on the front, just pale malts. And a standard hop finish. Not intensely flavorful or bitter but good. Nothing lingers in the finish. A decent fall back if the SN keg is tapped.
