baobubba (433), Corvallis, Oregon, USA Sep 16, 2003 Updated: Sep 27, 2003 Dark amber with a white head. Light cocolate, fruit, and toast. Slight sweet with a little dusty-roast on the slight bitter finish. I thoght this was OK, I may have had a few too many at the previous stop though.
BuckeyeBoy (1259), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 7, 2007 On tap at Highlands Hollow Boise, Pours out a dark amber topped with a ligth tan head. Nice malt and a little hop. This brew has a very nice thick full body. Pretty good. IndianaRed (1471), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 22, 2006 On Tap at the brewpub. Very dark amber. More like a bock. Very nice full sandy colored head. PLenty of long lasting lacing. Aroma is dark, woody, with roasted malts and only slight bitterness. Flavor was similar, again, quite dark for the stlye. A robust, heavy amber that has a nice hop/malt profile. Tasty. jake65 (1355), Meridian, Idaho, USA Jul 15, 2006 Loved the color in this brew - dark amber with reddish tones and a small tan head. Very strong maltiness with subtle roasty tones and some caramels. Not much hop presence, but overall a solid amber ale. pinkzambia (918), Boise, Idaho, USA Jan 19, 2006 On Tap: Typical amber color with balanced aromas of malts and hops. The style of this tasty amber is to attack first and then follow it with a sweet finish. This was the favorite at our table of four.
