Pours a clear light pale straw with no head. Aroma is pungent floral and spice. Flavor adds lots of honey sweetness, but maintains the massive amount of lavendar. I don’t really have much experience with meads, but this one is quite enjoyable.

Jul 10, 2009 (Sample Date: 04/04//2009 Source:Other) Bottle courtesy of Maniac. Aroma of honey with flowery lavender. Clear light golden. Honey flavor with lemon/lime fruitiness and lavender notes. Finish is sweet, floral and lightly tangy. Very interesting and complex.

Apr 10, 2009 Thanks to Maniac. Beautiful clear gold body. Aroma was honey with great lavender notes. Flavor was very sweet, floral and wine. Very nice.

Apr 4, 2009 Bottle from Hill Top 04/04/2009. Clear golden yellow body with no head and thick legs left down the glass. Very sweet honey and lavender aroma with some fruity hints. Very sweet honey flavor, more lavender, some fruit and a bit of grape hints. Medium body with no carbonation and a smooth slightly syrupy finish.

Apr 4, 2009 Pale yellow body with a nice herbal aroma. Taste has a nice lavender tang to it, sweet and a bit thin from what I normally expect in a mead. Ending is clean and floral.

Nov 28, 2008 375 mL bottle from the meadery. Pours a clear yellow color. Very strong lavender in the aroma, almost bitter, with sweet honey notes to balance out the bitterness. Taste is less but still very strong lavender. Still nicely balanced by the honey. Tart finiish. Very interesting.
