Commercial Description:
A true "Southern Ice Wine" that is made from the fruits of the mountain. This native Virginia wine of wild persimmon and honey pairs wonderfully with salmon or smoked trout. - Gold medal winner at International Mead Competition in Boulder Colorado in 2008!

Light yellow body with a light honey and fruity aroma. Plums... dark fruit probably... Taste is smooth and sweet, a light fruit tang. Somewhat light tartness in the end, very nice.

Smells like a good Riesling wine with a hint of alcohol and light honey notes. Clear light straw. Flavor is quite sweet with a floral spiciness, honey, and a sweet finish.

Clear pale yellow. Aroma of, well, sweet honey. Flavor is sweet honey and some slightly tart undefined fruit. A bit like a reisling in some ways. Nice.

375 mL bottle courtesy of maniac. Thanks! Pours a clear pale yellow color. Aroma is honey and dark earthy fruits including what I assume to be the persimmon as well as citrus. Taste is sweet and slighty syrupy persimmon notes. Has a bit of a tropical vibe. Very nice mead.
