330ml brown bottle. Deep golden colour, hazy with a medium sized creamy bed of foam on top. Aroma is malty with cinnamon an vanilla beans. Flavour has sweet caramel malt and cinnamon. The finish has orange peels and light spicy hops, yeast and a trace of alcohol. Lively carbonation, medium body. Nice winter brew.

Hazy amber colour, tall white head. Very yeasty aroma, slightly malty. But yeast dominates the nose. Flavour is very interesting. Many spices, malty and very dry a very inteesting brew. the palate is all over the map it, is spicey and dry with a kind of earthy flavour. It reminds me of belgian beer, but had a much earthier flavour than I was expecting. Very unique, I like it.

Pours hzy bright orange, with a thick, pillowy white head Nose is coriander, orange, yeast, and spice. Palate is very complex. I get all of the spices mentuioned on the label, except for the vanilla. Overall another excellent beer from Hitachino!

12 oz into my Duvel tulip. Amber pour with an obscene head. Yeasty, cream, cinnamon. A bit bitter. Coriander, nutmeg. Flavor is tangerine peel, sweet and sour sauce, light cinnamon finish. A touch of something else I can’t really pick out. Interesting spice, it grows on you.

Smells of strong yeast throughout the smell, dark brown/yellow and red, hazy but you can still see the light evenly throughout the whole glass. Strong initial taste of malt and then alcohol, carbonation also is very strong through mid and aftertaste. Quite nice and light, it does leave a taste on the tounge. It also has a crazy head that lasts.

Creamy. Cinnamon and Vanilla comes through easy. Orange zest as well. This supposedly a 9%abv beer but I would never of guessed. Commercial description is pretty spot on. This is phenomenal. Oh wait the alcohol is hitting pretty hard in the after taste. Still very good stuff.

2004 bottle - Deep murky brown with a huge frothy head -- very nice. Smells sweet with white grapes, vanilla, faint orange juice, and some light spice. Taste is oaky and nutty, with chocolate and some bitterness on the finish. There’s still some of the wheat there, but it’s co-mingling with bolder and sweeter flavors -- there’s even some sweet raisins and bourbon notes. Haven’t had this one fresh, but with five years on it, I like what I’m tasting.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a cloudy amber-red color with some light sediment and a huge foamy tan head with great retention but little cling. It had a spicy, floral aroma with some citrus and grassy notes, and some cinnamon and malt. The beer tasted sweet and spicy with some fruity and floral components and a constant underlying bitterness. It had a lively, highly carbonated and full mouthfeel, was fairly dry and did have a slight presence of alcohol.
