An outstanding stout. Think Guiness + a unique mixture of chocolate, coffee, nuts, fruit, and spice. Pours great with a almost black body, with caramel head that lasts. The taste is very unique but not overpowering. Great drinkability.

720ml brown bottle. Black with garnet edges, opaque. Full creamy, thick brown head, good clinging lace. Coffee and chocolate nose, light hop hint. Flavour is dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee bean. Finish is roasty, bitter and long with coffee aftertaste. Soft carbonation. medium body, great drinkablilty. Becoming a quick fan of this brewery.

Black with a rich chocolate cream head. Aroma is dark coffee, a hint of chocolate and the now familiar Japanese scent. Smooth body! Rich coffee, Japanese familiar flavour, a bit of tin and some chocolate notes. Definately tasty.

Bottle. Pour was dark with a nice sustained dark tan head. Aroma was sweet with vanilla, chocolate, roast, and smooth espresso. Flavors were well balanced with more sweet malt, which made for a smooth drink. Very fine brew.

Superb beer...unexpected mix of subtle and in-your-face flavor, but just this side of over-the-top. Thick dark brown head, serious coffee note (of course), great aroma, smooth bitter finish with a nice touch of mollasses on the end. This beer has an interesting viscosity to it. Sampled from teh bottle @ 57.5F.

Black pour with thin brown head, aroma of sweet roasted malt, chocolate, and alcohol. Tastes of caramel malt and yeast, chocolate, vanilla and dark fruit. Nice bitter finish of roasted coffee. Great brew.

330 mL bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Dark brown, almost black, pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is pure dark roasted espresso. Espresso dominates the palate but there is some dark chocolate and dark fruit as well. The alcohol is undetectable. I really, really liked this one.

330ml bottle. Pours very dark brown, black in the glass, with a huge three-finger brown head. Head eventually settles down to a light cap. Rings of sticky spotty lacing. Rather attractive. Aroma big on coffee, with a slight funkiness, roasted malts, and some dark fruits. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, dark cherries, and other dark fruits with a light sour tang. Delicious. Wonderful smooth creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation. An excellent brew! Only thing holding this back is the price @ $4.99/bottle. Still worth it and I’m glad I finally got around to trying this wonderful beer.
