Jun 27, 2009 11.2 ounce bottle. Pours a very hazy orange color. Medium head with decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet floral hop notes along with some earthinees. Caramel and candied fruits also. Taste is toasted malts with heavy earthy, herbal hops. Ginger comes through very strongly along with lots of pepper and other herbs. As the beer warms, lots of vanilla nd wood notes show up. Medium bodied. Very dry. Nice beer.

Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, rice, carame, old malt, pepper. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, and a moderate to heavy peppery finish. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090320]

smell is faint, grain, spice, and a touch of citrus.
taste is smooth and creamy, grain, some spice, some citrus, a little woody, and a touch of pine in back.

May 13, 2009 (Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Amber colour with lasting, frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, caramel, orange peel and perfumy hints of cedar. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, dried fruit, orange and apricots. Fairly sweet with some earthy bitterness evolving throughout the finish. Nice and tasty beer with a perfumy touch from the cedar wood.

May 10, 2009 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small white head. Hasa fruity malty hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter flavor with some hints of citrus. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter finish. with some bitterness in the aftertaste.
