Thanks to Whitey7183 for this bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a brown head. Aroma is lighter of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, molasses, dark fruit, and a little bit of lactose. Flavor begins with slight hints of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Finishes watery with the sweeter flavors of dark fruit and molasses. Has a very slight bitter finish but not very much. Flavor goes away pretty quick. It’s alright but there are plenty of sweet stouts I would drink over this one.

Appearance: Pours a black, cola-like body with a bubbly, quickly dissipating tan head. Smell: Weak aroma of watered down old milk. This does not bode well at all. Taste: A very odd junction of random flavors here. Sour apples, lime juice, and a near virulent metallic taste, with a lactic acid finish suggestive of a lambic, or even spoiled Worchestershire sauce. No real malts or hops to speak of. Mouthfeel: Extremely thin-bodied. Neither full or creamy and totally lacking in body. How very upsetting. Drinkability: This one was a complete bust, unfortunately. There are far better examples of this style, and I’d wager most could be had for far cheaper than this one. If you must insist on trying this one get the smaller size.

Bottle... Pours dark caramel, sits black in the glass… crimson when held up to bright light. Small, creamy, khaki head. The aroma is of smoky chocolate, tart black cherries and a touch of buttermilk. Tangy, chocolaty goodness in the flavor... nothing sweet about this sweet stout. Light-bodied and ultra fizzy. Finishes very crisp and pungent. Infected for certain, but I’m not complaining. Cross between a Berliner wiesse and a Dunkel.

The aroma reminds me of artifical vanilla and dark fruit.. taste seems a tad skunky, with mild oak flavors. an astringent flavor. fall a bit short of something really special.

The aroma is approaching what a sweet stout should be like. It is a little wild but it’s mostly deep roasted malt, chocolate, cream, coffee, and some earthiness. The appearance is super dark brown with a nice sized head. The palate is is OK for the style but not thick enough. I was able to drink this one but, I would not recommend it as a good example of the style.

Dark brown, large, very bubbly light brown head. Aroma is mostly sour milk. Flavor is more old milk and some coffee. This is my first undrinkable beer.

720mL bottle. Poured mahogany with a short cap of beige head. Aroma had a sour milk aire to it, which thankfully didn’t dominate the flavor... sweet roasty milk chocolate behind with a touch of dark fruit. The flavor had sweet, lightly roasted milky chocolate at the base with some dark fruity notes and the aforementioned sourness. Lighter-bodied with some residual black malt sugars at the finish. This was drinkable, but nowhere near good.

Deep black color, with a tan-colored head, sweet roasted malt nose, with a fruity lactose accent, a black coffee note, a bit raisiny,a faint licorice spiciness within a milky accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet lactose, black chocolate malt character, with a fruity, cocoa powder accent, sweet dark chocolatey note, leading towards a sweet, milky chocolotey, faint dry hoppiness finish
