Pours dark brown. Some sediment in this bottle. I didn’t have that the first time around. Foamy head. Nice orange and spice aroma. Slightly bitter smell. Light flavor of orange and spice with sweet malt and mellow hops. Slightly tart finish. Well balanced. Nothing overpowering.

[2006 bottle] Bright, fruity aroma- dark red/amber color. Dark dried fruits, subtle yeast and wheat presence. Spices are there, as well, but not too overpowering. Alcohol content is subtle, finishing slightly warm and bitter.

Fully hazy red-amber beer; yellowish head, reduced to rim in seconds. Milky, lactic, and very fruity, sourish nose, ending spicey & vinous. All the former from the nose, but superimposed by a wry tannine-like bitterness, both hoppy & woody. The spices are present, but do not impose themselves, keeping unrecognisable. BIt acidburn, not too much, but the whole appears rather thin fluid full of suspension, rather than well-bodied. Remarkable beer, all the same. The spices made me very shy, but way better than feared.

Pours a golden hazy orange color, with just a small frothy head. Vinous stone fruits, with some apple cider vinegar flavor and strong hints of spicey pepper and caramelized fruits. Somewhat of a bitter salty finish. Not bad, but not easy to drink.

12oz. bottle. 2006 vintage. Hazy medium intensity orange with a small white head. Sweet, cidery aromatics with orange and cinnamon. Nutmeg, candied orange dominate the flavor. Some residual cider spices in the finish with a mild floral hop character. Mouthfeel is medium heavy, somewhat dry.

06. orange cognac lookin brew. 3/4 inch tight bubbly head. smells of orange and cinnamon and over ripened fruit. the nutmeg is evident as soon as i tilt it to my mouth. taste like orange peel and coriander. crisp and refreshing although the orange oil is a little un managed.

Pours a bright, hazy orange color, light white head and thin lacing. Fruit and spice aroma, peach, pineapple, coriander and cinnamon. Rich, sweet body with vanilla undertones, juicy. Finishes long, mostly bitter and slightly metallic, hints of pine. An impressive beer at first, yet loses some of its charm as the sticky sweetness compounds in the mouth.

Pours an amber brown with a light colored head. Aroma is spicy and malty...a bit of sweetness comes trough as well. Flavor is all the above...except a lot of interesting spice and some hop earthiness and bitterness. As it warmed there was some salty soy as well. Mouthfeel is a bit oily but still medium bodied..
